R2R is closely linked to two rugby clubs: Datchworth and Southgate.

In 2008 nearly £50,000 was raised by one of the founders of R2R for Leukaemia Research by cycling over 1000 miles around the UK.

The result of the untimely deaths of two close rugby colleagues, this activity provided the inspiration for creating a cycle team who participate enthusiastically at moderate standards whilst raising funds for charity and worthy causes.
